Last week, I rambled extensively about Ratloop Asia's Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken. However, one thing I didn't bring up was its phenomenal soundtrack – and that was intentional, because its so good I want to highlight it on its own.

The soundtrack to Rocketbirds is by Herwig Maurer and prominently frontlines his project New World Revolution, or NWR for short. NWR is described as an alternative sci-fi rock group and that fits. Much like the game, the songs almost eerily veer between serious and self-awarely tongue-in-cheek. In the game, music is also used wisely; the rock tracks come in at the right moments as the action heats up.

The album is available digitally via NWR's Bandcamp and I wholeheartedly recommend it. The physical version pictured here was a Limited Run Games exclusive and was part of the the physical PSVita version of the game.
