And you likely guessed what was coming – yes, time to end the Penguins Project album trilogy with their 2013 release "Classic". Unlike the previous two albums, this album doesn't feature Hatsune Miku on the vocals, but Vocaloid 2 based Megpoid, aka "Gumi" – which is sampled from voice of Megumi Nakajima. And I have to say, Megpoid sounds even more natural, lending itself/herself brilliantly to the even softer and more organic sound of "Classic".
Penguins Project themselves describe the music as timeless and that's pretty spot on, with the ever-so-slightly uncanny Vocaloids ensuring everything feels a bit ethereal. While this isn't the last Penguins Project release, it is the last one I could get my hands on, via CD Baby as usual. And it's a great way to end the Weekly Penguin feature trilogy!
