This is one of the latest addition to the penguin themed books collection. It is simply titled Pingviini (obviously translates to 'Penguin', originally titled 'Der Pinguin') by Fiona Moodie. Originally published in 1979, this Finnish print is from 1980 by Lasten Keskus Palleroinen.
The book is simply a picture book – the only words are on the back as the description and Fiona Moodie's artwork does the rest. The book captures a year in life of Adelie Penguin parents raising a chick.
Moodie is quite a prolific illustrator of children's stories and though her style is typically more intricate and detailed, here she uses simpler shapes and bold contrasts – perfect for penguins, naturally.

The book is available in various formats – these days most commonly as a paperback - but this is one of those cardboard-paged ones for really young children.
