A penguin book update – it's been quite a while since we did this side of the collectibles.

Spy Penguins is a children's book written by Sam Hay and illustrated by Marek Jagucki. This is the first book in a series – which is something I didn't realize before doing research on this write-up, I guess it is time to expand my book collection!

Anyhow, the story stars two penguins, adventurous Jackson and his best friend Quigley. Both would love to join the FBI – The Frosty Bureau of Investigations – but they are too young to do so. Jackson and the gadget-loving Quigley do what children's book heroes do and set out to prove the naysayers wrong.

As their first case, Jackson and Quigly almost accidentally end up in the middle of an FBI stakeout and a case of a crime so mystifying even the Bureau can't solve it. So it is time for Jackson and 'Q' to shine.

This is good stuff and gets the seal of Penguin DT approval – wholly recommended to penguin fans and those looking for the next children's book series to go through.
