Last weekend saw the second annual "Draw a Penguin Day" by Sam's Penguins on Twitter. And of course I joined in on the fun. Here is my entry for #PenguinsForSamsPenguins called 'Penguins of Twitter'.
From left-to-right;
Niwazekisho – Penguin comic artists Niwazekisho specialises in penguin comic strips starring Emperor Penguins. For merch, head to https://suzuri.jp/niwazekisho.
Mocopeng – Artist Amami Nakamura does plenty of adorable animal art, but is possibly best known for the super-cute penguin chicks. For more of these cute creations, check out Mocopeng's tumblr.
Penguin259 – Penguin manga comic with Pen-Pen – also available in video form on YouTube.
VanCityPenguin – VanCityPenguin's timeline is a testament that everything – even already-amazing travel photos – are better with penguins.
The hero of the day – Sam Cook's Sam's Penguins.
Perry the Penguin – The amazing rascal whose adventures I can never tire of. You might remember him as the penguin who aided me in adopting Pudding!
Perky Penguin – Dr. Lady's personal helper and a self-described cultured penguin extraordinaire.
Pingki Penguin – The penguin of the artist Pingki Penguin – whose designs we've featured here before. For her art, head to her Etsy.
The Penned Guin – Alan Henderson's pun-driven comic strip you should be familiar by now. If not, why not fix the problem?
Elmyr the Penguin – Penguin spokes-bird of Audubon Nature Institute Aquarium.
I mentioned this before, but I want to say it again; thank you, Penguins of Twitter, for bringing smiles to our days. I mean, as the famous quote goes:
It's practically impossible to look at a penguin and feel angry.
Joe Moore
This year was a blast for the event – we got over 120 penguins this time and you can find them all under the #PenguinsForSamsPenguins hashtag on Twitter – or on the timeline of Sam's Penguins. This was real fun and everyone can join in!
Can't wait for next year!
