Here's a very special Adélie penguin. But what makes this adorable waddler special besides being cute? Well, it is an adoption penguin from World Wide Fund, aka WWF!

What is this about, you may ask. Well, you're most likely aware of all the donation based programs WWF runs. One of them happens to focused on the study of Adélie penguins and – if you so choose – you can receive this awesome adoption penguin as a 'thank you' for your contribution. In addition the plush toy, you'll also receive an information package filled with several leaflets about penguins and the conservation efforts – as well as plenty of penguin stickers!

You should know that if you're interested in the program, you don't need to give away money blindly; the donation site clearly explains how the money will be used and the sums needed for each kind of research effort; for instance £36 would cover the costs of a transponder used to track one penguin throughout its whole life! You can also choose if the donation is monthly or in one go.
